New maximum permitted amount for Q10
Do you know our products Q10 Vida and Q10 Strong? Both contain 50 mg of coenzyme Q10 per capsule. Coenzyme Q10, or Q10 for short, is needed in all body cells in the tiny “power plants”, the mitochondria, to generate energy.
You absorb Q10 naturally through your food, for example in organ meat (e.g. liver), oily fish, nuts and seeds, pulses, vegetable oils, cabbage, onions, potatoes, spinach and broccoli. In the human body, Q10 has an important physiological function in the respiratory chain; the organism uses it to produce energy. The body can produce sufficient Q10 itself until around midlife. With increasing age, however, the likelihood of the body’s own synthesis decreasing increases. Supplementation with Q10 may then be advisable.
Q10 Vida contains the original coenzyme Q10 from Kaneka, produced purely by biofermentation (from brewer’s yeast). After fermentation, the raw material is purified by extraction, filtration, crystallization and chromatography. The production process is 100% natural and clearly differs from cheap preparations or synthetically produced Q10. To increase absorption in the intestine, we process the Q10 in liposomal form (with soy lecithin). In a special ultrasound process, the Q10 molecules are “packed” into a liposomal structure. Our product contains only coenzyme Q10 and soy lecithin and no additives or excipients. The capsule shell is made of HPMC and is therefore entirely of plant origin.
The maximum permitted amount of Q10 has now changed; a dosage of up to 200 mg Q10 per day is now recommended, which corresponds to 4 capsules of Q10 Vida or Q10 Strong. It is best to take the capsules throughout the day with a little liquid before a meal.
