NADH Vida in the stress test – a study with 16 young men

NADH Vida was tested on sixteen students in a study. The effects on physical performance and cardiovascular health were examined.

What is NADH?

NADH stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride. NADH is a coenzyme that is involved in the human respiratory chain. It occurs naturally in every plant, animal and human cell. Every cell in the body obtains the energy it needs in the mitochondria, the tiny “power stations” in the cells. There, NADH reacts with oxygen to produce the universal energy molecule ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which serves the body as an energy carrier and store. In this way, NADH is involved in countless metabolic processes.

Information on the study

The scientific study investigated the effect of NADH Vida on exercise tolerance, physical performance and cardiovascular health. Sixteen healthy male volunteers from a medical university were tested. The study was conducted over a period of three weeks. During this time, the otherwise non-athletic students exercised intensively. The participants were randomly assigned to a test group that received NADH or a control group that received a placebo. The dosage of NADH was 2 x 1 sublingual tablet (for under the tongue) of 20mg per day.

The research design included two in-depth studies. One before starting NADH Vida or a placebo and another after three weeks. Three tests were used; the PWC170 test to assess exercise tolerance, the measurement of maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) and the assessment of early recovery after physical exertion (recovery heart rate).

Explanation of the tests

PWC170

PWC stands for Physical Working Capacity. This refers to a person’s physical performance, expressed in watts, at a defined heart rate. The figure can be used to make a statement about continuous performance capacity. The goal is to achieve a heart rate of 130, 150 or 170, depending on the performance group.

The PWC170 test with two load levels was performed on a bicycle ergometer.

Jetzt NADH Vida online kaufen!.

VO2max

VO2max is the maximum amount of oxygen in millilitres that you can consume per minute and per kilogram of body weight at maximum performance. The value is an indicator of aerobic fitness and normally increases with increasing fitness.

The maximum oxygen consumption was calculated using a formula for untrained healthy people.

Recovery heart rate

The recovery heart rate (heart rate recovery) involves taking a pulse and blood pressure measurement immediately after intensive physical activity. This can be used to assess how well the heart can recover from physical activity. It can be used to assess the level of fitness.

Heart rate and blood pressure were measured before, during and after the training sessions.

Conclusions of the research team:

  1. Taking a total of 40 mg of NADH Vida daily for 3 weeks increased the level of physical performance and endurance.
  2. NADH Vida has a positive effect on aerobic capacity, even with long-term exposure to stress factors and the absence of physical training: the intake of 40 mg of NADH Vida daily for 3 weeks by non-athletic students during intensive training led to an increase in VO2max level by 25.6% and by 23.9% of maximum oxygen consumption per 1 kg of body weight.
  3. Taking NADH Vida has a positive effect on the state of central haemodynamics (blood flow in the vessels) and contributes to the normalization of blood pressure in young people with signs of arterial hypertension.
  4. Taking NADH Vida for 3 weeks at a daily dose of 40 mg led to an increase in the functional reserves of the cardiovascular system in people who do not exercise.
NADH Vida therefore increases physical performance and endurance and has a positive effect on cardiovascular health.
