Tim Grossniklaus attended the SC Bern ice hockey school and played for all of the Swiss national team's junior squads. He turned professional with the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. His other clubs include Servette Geneva, HC Davos, EHC Olten, SCL Tigers and EHC Visp. The defender has been with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds since 2025 and is an important member of the team.
