There are plant substances in nature that can influence senescent cells. For example, the yellow natural pigment quercetin, a flavonol, has been shown to trigger cell death in ageing cells.2

What are senescent cells?

Senescent cells are the body’s own cells that no longer divide and lose their original function. They negatively affect the surrounding cells and thus contribute to impaired organ function.3

Reset + Renew = Longevity

Reset Vida forms the Longevity Box together with Renew Vida. These two products are preferably taken alternately for one month each. However, they can also be used individually.

What does longevity mean? Translated from English, it means “longevity”. We don’t necessarily want to live longer, but above all to “live better for longer”.

Senolytic and senoreversive

Reset Vida and Renew Vida differ in their senolytic and senoreversive characteristics.

Of all the substances investigated, the combination of flavonols and lignans (LIG+FLA) was able to reduce the proportion of senescent cells the most and below the initial value (from 50.83 to 2.58%, red).

Figure 2 shows the proportion of senescent cells in human aortic endothelial cells. Gold is the control group without treatment. Dark grey shows the artificially induced senescence using etoposide. Of all the substances investigated, a combination of flavonols and lignans (LIG+FLA) was able to reduce the proportion of senescent cells the most and below the initial value (from 55.48 to 3.02%, red).

Figure 3 shows the proportion of senescent cells in human adipose tissue precursor cells (subcutaneous preadipocytes). As these tend to senesce, no pre-treatment with the aim of artificially inducing senescence is required in this case. Gold again shows the control group without treatment. Of all the substances analysed, a combination of flavonols and lignans (LIG+FLA) was able to reduce the proportion of senescent cells the most and below the initial value (from 44.82 to 4.02%, red).

Figure 4 shows the proportion of senescent cells in human mesenchymal stem cells. Gold is the control group without treatment. Dark grey shows the artificially induced senescence using etoposide. Of all the substances investigated, a combination of flavonols and lignans (LIG+FLA) was able to reduce the proportion of senescent cells the most and below the initial value (from 41.52 to 0.62%, red).
