Brief profile: Ramona was introduced to cross-country skiing at an early age by her mother and competed in her first cross-country skiing competition at the age of six. In her younger years, she attended courses run by the Lucerne Ski Association and joined the Central Switzerland regional squad at the age of 14. She benefited greatly from these instructive training camps and, at the age of 16, Ramona was accepted into the Swiss-Ski candidate group. She trained with the Swiss Ski U20 C squad for another two years. She then made the step up from junior to elite level last season. Thanks to her good results as a junior, she has been training with the Swiss Ski U23 C squad ever since. Since completing her school-leaving exams a year ago, she has been fully focused on cross-country skiing. Her big goal is to compete in the Winter Olympics!
