What is NADH?
NADH is a coenzyme produced naturally in the body and is central to energy production in cells, or more precisely in the “powerhouses” of cells, the mitochondria. It supports the formation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and helps cells to efficiently extract energy from nutrients.
What does NADH mean?
The abbreviation NADH stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride. Because this name is almost unpronounceable, NADH is also simply called coenzyme 1. Another name is biological hydrogen.

Every cell obtains the energy it needs in what are known as mitochondria. In these powerhouses within the body, NADH reacts with oxygen. This produces the universal energy molecule ATP .

We source high-quality raw materials for our NADH Vida from the EU, naturally in food grade quality. However, there are manufacturers who use raw materials from Asia (e.g. China). How to take NADH Vida and what exactly do NADH tablets contain?
NADH Vida’s NADH tablets are taken sublingually – that is, they are allowed to melt under the tongue. Each tablet contains NADH 20 mg in stabilized form and an additional 20 μg of biotin; 1 tablet per day is recommended.
Why is the stabilization of NADH in NADH Vida so crucial for its effectiveness?
NADH is inherently unstable and decomposes very quickly without special measures. However, the NADH used in NADH Vida is stabilized in a patented process – independent laboratory tests confirm that the content remains constant over the entire shelf life. In comparison, other products lost over 50% of their NADH value in studies before the expiration of the shelf life.
