Vino Vida – OPC from grape seeds
Grape seeds contain a remarkable amount of OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins). We pay attention to a particularly high OPC content when selecting grapes.
We use a grape seed extract of the highest quality from Italian grapes, which is extracted using a gentle process.
Another secondary plant substance in grape seeds is resveratrol.
How do we measure the OPC content?
There are various measurement methods to determine the OPC content. The vanillin HCI analysis method is often used. This has the property that the result of the OPC content is much higher, as other catechins are added. We use the NP-HPLC method for our OPC measurement. This shows a more accurate result, which is, however, much lower. To show the comparison of both measurement methods, we tested Vino Vida with both measurement methods.
